Salisbury
Splash of Gold, aka Salisbury is an 11 year old, palomino gelding. Currently standing 14.2h, Salisbury has a friendly, willing disposition and is loves attention. He has a balanced correct conformation, and consistently demonstrates three clear, concise gaits. His walk maintains overstep, his trot has consistent rhythm and is easy to sit, and his canter demonstrates both reach and relaxation. Salisbury shows versatility: he can be ridden into contact as a Dressage horse, jumped cross country, or trusted with beginners as a safe trail horse.
Since June of 2012, Salisbury has been professionally handled by Dressage trainer, been used as a dependable lesson horse, and been successfully shown by students in Training Level dressage and Baby Novice (2’) eventing. Salisbury is capable of standing for mounting, a walk, a trot, a canter, leg-yield, shoulder-in, turn-on-the-forehand, jumping 2’9” with potential for higher. He has free jumped 4’. He stands tied, cross ties, clips, bathes, loads, and stands quietly for the Farrier. He has absolutely no stable vices, no maintenance issues, completely sound barefoot, and to my knowledge has never offered to buck, rear, or bolt undersaddle.
